  AM / PM - Arrival, met by your chauffeur guide and transfer to Waikkal. Rest of the day at leisure

OVERNIGHT – RANWELI HOLIDAY VILLAGE - WAIKKAL

AM-  After breakfast leave for Kandalama, en route visit the elephant orphanage at  Pinnawela, where one can see the baby Elephants  being fed and bathed. Arrive at the Heritance Kandalama Hotel.

PM – At Leisure.

OVERNIGHT – HERITANCE - KANDALAMA

AM- Climb of Sigiriya rock , built by patricide king Kasyapa in the 5th.century A.D. and now a World Heritage site. In a sheltered pocket within the Rock one can see the famous Sigiriya frescoes, remains of the King’s pleasure garden, studded with ponds, islets, promenades and pavilions can also be seen.

PM- Visit Polonnaruwa, another World Heritage site the medieval capital of Sri Lanka (11-13 century AD) Commence a city tour covering all places of archeological and historical value such as Parakrama Samudra , the largest man made reservoir, Gal Viharaya – impressive colossal Buddha statues carved out of the face of a granite boulder. Afterwards return to your hotel and relax.

OVERNIGHT – HERITANCE - KANDALAMA

AM – After breakfast visit Dambulla. Another World Heritage site. A vast isolated rock mass 500 ft. high, here is found the famous rock temple, which dates back to the 1st. century B.C. It is here where King Valagambahu took refuge and turned the caves in to this magnificent rock cave temple. Some of the frescoes are over 2000 years old.

PM – Visit The Dambulla Arboretum & Woodlands-established in 1963 by Mr Sam Popham an ex-planter.

OVERNIGHT – HERITANCE - KANDALAMA

AM - After breakfast leave for Elkaduwa, en route visiting a spice garden in Matale.  Arrive at Hunnas Falls Hotel and relax.

PM – Do a city tour of Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka and the last stronghold of the Sinhalese Kings. Visit all the interesting places such as the Temple of the Tooth Relic, where the sacred tooth of the Lord Buddha is enshrined.

OVERNIGHT-HUNAS FALLS HOTEL – ELKADUWA

AM – Visit the Udawatakelle Forest Sanctuary

PM – Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where one can see ell over 5000 varieties of tropical and sub tropical plants and trees. The orchid house here is the finest  in Asia.

OVERNIGHT- HUNAS FALLAS HOTEL – ELKADUWA

  AM – After breakfast leave for Kandapola, en-route vist a Tea factory, also stop at Ramboda falls for scenery

PM – At leisure

OVERNIGHT – TEA FACTORY- KANDAPOLA
 
Day _____________________ 8 ______________________________________________________________________________
 
AM – Early morning visit Horton Plains the only National Park situated in the Hill Country to see the “World’s End” this silent, strange, beautiful  highland 2000m. above sea level is unique in Sri Lanka and is within the Park. Endemic slender loris and endemic purple monkey are among the important animal species that could be seen in addition to the sambhur and wild boar.There are some endemic avifauna also (Pick-nick breakfast to be arranged).

PM.- At leisure or visit the Hakgala botanical gardens, where one ca see plants and trees that thrive in the cooler climates.

OVERNIGHT – TEA FACTORY- KANDAPOLA

  AM/ PM – After breakfast leave for Buttala. Arrive at Kumbuk River Lodge  and relax.

OVERNIGHT – KUMBUK RIVER LODGE- BUTTALA

 

 
Day _____________________ 10 ______________________________________________________________________________
 
AM –Leave Yala to Commence a morning safari of the Yala National Park by Jeep. This is the oldest National Park on the island which boasts of many varieties of Mammals, Reptiles, the leopard is more commonly seen here. Pick-nick breakfast to be arranged or return to hotel for late breakfast.

PM – At leisure

OVERNIGHT – KUMBUK RIVER LODGE- BUTTALA

  AM / PM - After breakfast leave for Galle, en-route visit a turtle hatchery at TangalleArrive at the Galle Fort Hotel and relax.

OVERNIGHT GALLE FORT HOTEL – GALLE
 
Day _____________________ 12 ______________________________________________________________________________
 

AM – Early morning visit Kanneliya Forest reserve, approximately 35 km north-east of Galle, this reserve is less popular for some reason although possesses an abundance of endemic Bird life (Packeted breakfast and lunch to be arranged)

PM – Rest of the evening is at leisure.

OVERNIGHT GALLE FORT HOTEL – GALLE

AM – After breakfast leave for Sinharaja. En-route visit the old Dutch Fort in Galle. Arrive at the Boulder garden Hotel and relax.

OVERNIGHT – BOULDER GARDEN- SINHARAJA
 
Day _____________________ 14 ______________________________________________________________________________
 

AM – Early morning visit Sinharaja Rain Forest, famous for its endemic bird life and a World Heritage site.(Pick- nick breakfast to be arranged).

PM.- At leisue

OVERNIGHT – BOULDER GARDEN- SINHARAJA

AM – After breakfast leave for Negombo. Arrive at Havelock Place Bungalow and relax.

OVERNIGHT – HAVELOCK PLACE BUNGALOW - COLOMBO

AM/PM - Leave for Bandaranaike Airport, to be there at least 3 1/2 hours prior to departure time.
