Vintage Check Point Rally
Vintage Car Owners club will conduct the Vintage Check Point Rally in Colombo. Over 50 – 55 Vintage cars, known as A-Z cars that were first registered in Sri Lanka over 60 years ago will take part in this rally

Munneswaram Festival
About 75 km north of Colombo (3 km from Chilaw) is a Hindu shrine dedicated to God Siva where a colourful temple festival with fire walking takes place during the Esala Festival time. This is a Popular pilgrim centre for both Hindus and Buddhists. (The exact date of the Esala Peraheras and of the other festivals are announced only during the first quarter of the year)

Easter
Easter which always falls on a Sunday is the most important religious feast of the Christian liturgical year, and is celebrated by the Christian community in Sri Lanka during some point between late March and late April each year (early April to early May in Eastern Christianity), following the cycle of the moon. It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, which Christians believe occurred on the third day of his death by crucifixion some time in the period AD 27 to 33.

Milad-Un-Nabi (Holy Prophet Mohamed’s birthday)
Prophet Mohammed was said to be born sometime during 570-571 A.D. Mohammed was born to the Quraish tribe. His father Abdulla died before he was born and his mother is said to have died when he was five years old. When he was 40 years old he started preaching Islam based in Mecca. This particular day is celebrated by all Muslims through riligios observences.

Nesting Season for Turtles
Out of a total of seven species of turtles in the world, five are reported to nest along the coastal belt of Sri Lanka, the Loggerhead Turtle, Green Turtle, the Olive ridley Turtle, Leatherback Turtle, and the Hawksbill Turtle. The peak season for nesting of sea turtles is during the month of March

Balooning Festival
The inaugural Sri Lanka Balloon Festival was held in 2003 and since then has been continued almost biennially. The 2008 festival held during March-April was declared a National event by the Ministry of Tourism and is organized by the Ceylon Airship and Ballooning Club and currently remains as the only aviation event in the country. It has become quite a popular adventure sport in Sri Lanka.
